Here comes faster 802.11ax Wi-Fi

Analysts predict that by 2020, the global market for smart home technology will reach $100 billion1 and the average home will have more than 35 connected devices.2 But with the rapid proliferation of connected devices and experiences, it's no longer enough to simply be connected. My two boys are the heavy-bandwidth consumers; they game and stream A LOT of YouTube and Netflix content. Called 802.11ax, this standard promises faster wireless internet speeds. Those fond of hotspots or public Wi-Fi would benefit from the new standard. For that reason, future developments like the new 802.11ax core Wi-Fi standard are focused on "increasing the overall capacity of the network".

How Seth Meyers Made Lemonade Out of Lemons at the Golden Globes
The Golden Globes blackout is a powerful statement of unity in Hollywood, and we can't wait to see it unfold tonight. Then Meyers threw this setup to comedian Billy Eichner: " Call Me by Your Name is nominated for Best Motion Picture.

Intel may have been one of the first to produce 802.11ax chips. The new standard will offer significant improvements over its predecessor, 802.11ac. It will also increase network efficiency and extend the battery life of client devices. Intel's new chipsets will be based on Draft 2.0 of 802.11ax. The certification process makes sure that all Wi-Fi products work together as they're supposed to, and the Alliance is correct that it usually marks the beginning of a new era of Wi-Fi. 802.11ax should help in congested situations, though, with its ability to manage more connections more intelligently. Certain chips from Intel to be released this year will support the new standard. This is important since a more mature draft - Draft 2.0 or higher - will be the baseline for 802.11ax certification, and Wi-Fi CERTIFIED* is the only way to truly guarantee multivendor interoperability. There are other chip companies in the connectivity space as well, and Intel making their 802.11ax chips available doesn't alone guarantee mass adoption of the standard. In addition, Intel's new 802.11ax home Wi-Fi chipsets will offer backward compatibility with older Wi-Fi technologies to support a breadth of client devices. Celeno´s extensive chip portfolio and ground-breaking software technologies are created to excel in real life, highly interfered dense network scenarios, delivering the level of management, performance, speed, coverage, reliability and superlative user experience demanded by Wi-Fi users.
