Trump administration to resume processing DACA renewals

In deciding to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the Trump administration had called it an egregious example of executive overreach.

If someone's DACA expired on or after September 5, 2016, that person may file a renewal request, the agency says; people who received DACA that expired before then can file a new DACA request.

DACA has protected about 800,000 people, many of them college-age students.

Officials also state that an individual must be at least 18 years of age or older to purchase or use fireworks. The best advice is to make sure you're prepared and plan ahead if you do go out celebrating.

The president has demanded extra border security, including funding for a wall, as well as an end to family-based chain migration and the visa lottery program.
