New England Patriots wide receiver Brandin Cooks went down after a scary, blindside hit from the Philadelphia Eagles' Malcolm Jenkins.

On the team's second drive of the game, Cooks attempted to hurdle a defender on a third-down play.

Cooks, the Patriots' leading wide receiver, had caught a pass for 23 yards when Jenkins came to tackle him.

He was later helped off the field and received applause from the crowd.

Jenkins was not flagged for the helmet-to-helmet hit because Cooks turned to run before contact was made.

Naidu also reportedly expressed "serious displeasure" over the Union budget and wondered why the Centre ignored the state. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP ) is not snapping its alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), for now.

That was Cooks' first catch of the game, and it led to him leaving the game.

Cooks is the Patriots' best deep threat. It's also the second time in as many games that New England has lost a top pass catcher with a head injury.

McLeod was having none of it however, as he stayed upright and kept Cooks short of a first down.
