A timeline of events that lead to release of Republican memo on Russia probe

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., told Fox News on Friday that the memo alleging intelligence abuse during an investigation into the 2016 presidential campaign was released out of "an obligation to the American people". "This is an American disgrace!" he wrote from Florida, where he spent the weekend.

The four-page memo, written by Nunes and his staff, alleges intelligence abuse by the DOJ and Federal Bureau of Investigation during the 2016 Trump campaign, citing a high-ranking government official who says both agencies would never have sought surveillance warrants in the absence of a disputed anti-Trump dossier funded by Democrats.

If President Donald Trump had hoped the memo, released Friday, would discredit the probe into Russian influence of the 2016 election, he's wrong.

"If potential intelligence sources know that their identities might be compromised when political winds arise", Schiff wrote, "those sources of vital information will simply dry up, at great cost to our national security".

The problem is that while the investigators might have used the Steele Dossier, it was far from the only evidence they had gathered and used, and given that the rest of the evidence remains classified, it is impossible for the investigators, the FBI and the US Justice Department to defend the integrity of their work.

The Justice Department continued the surveillance after Trump was elected, according to the memo.

Without directly linking to the article, Trump tweeted quotes calling the memo, which alleges abuse of government surveillance powers by the Justice Department, "disturbing".

On the Sunday morning talk shows, Democrats ripped the memo pressed by Republicans, saying it was a purely political effort.

In recent months, conservative media and Trump loyalists in Washington have grown louder and louder in their disdain for the Mueller investigation and have targeted the FBI and Department of Justice in an effort to discredit the Russian Federation probe. John Kasich, the governor of OH and a former rival of Trump's for the presidential nomination, called it "a disservice to our country". A campaign is building among Trump allies to have the US Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein sacked.

The memo "also doesn't have anything to do with obstruction of justice", he added.

TAIWAN: Major Quake Collapses Buildings in Hualien
Some 88 soldiers were helping the local fire service respond at the hotel, and another 250 were on standby to help. The quake struck late Tuesday 13.3 miles northeast of Hualien on the island's east coast, according to the U.S.

It also alleges that then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe told the House Intelligence Committee that the surveillance warrant would not have been sought without the disputed opposition research dossier on Trump and Russian Federation written by ex-British intelligence officer Christopher Steele.

The document was commissioned by Nunes, the Republican chairman of the House intelligence panel. A second White House official said Trump was likely to declassify the congressional memo but the precise method for making it public was still being figured out.

"The fact that the Republicans in the House refuse to allow a minority report, the Democratic response to their memo, is an indication that they're bound and determined to continue to find ways to absolve this president from any responsibility", Durbin continued.

But without the underlying documents or transcripts of Priestap's testimony, it's hard to judge the accuracy of the memo's description.

Mueller's investigation has so far led to guilty pleas by two of Trump's foreign policy advisers to charges of lying to the FBI, and indictments of former campaign manager Paul Manafort and his business partner Rick Gates.

'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Footage Finally Revealed
Solo , well before the events of " Star Wars: A New Hope ", also talks of one day becoming the best pilot "in the galaxy". Reactions to the trailer on social media were mixed, with many praising Glover's brief appearances as Lando Calrissian .

The four-page memo revolves around a wiretap on Carter Page, who was briefly an adviser to the Trump campaign and a figure on the FBI's radar since at least 2013.

Durbin contested the suggestion that the FBI's application to a special court for authority to surveil Page failed to note that the request was based partly on a dossier funded by Democrats. At the same time, the committee's Republicans blocked Democrats from simultaneously releasing a rebuttal memo.

"Having made a decision to cherry-pick, the Nunes team picked a bunch of the wrong cherries for its own narrative", Matthew Waxman, a Columbia University law professor and former Bush administration official, wrote in an email.

New York Mets sign Todd Frazier to two year contract
Popular wherever he's been, the spirited Frazier has always drawn cheers from local fans when playing in the NY area. However, a slow free agent market and little need for a third baseman throughout the league hurt Frazier.
