North Korea May Have Launched a Domestic Beer Brewed with Wheat

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's sister, an increasingly prominent figure in the country's leadership, will be part of the North's delegation to the South Korean Winter Olympics, officials said Wednesday.

Robinson said that the nuclear threat crisis and conflict between North Korea and the West does not necessarily mean that things could get even worse for Christians there, simply because "it is hard to imagine how things could get any worse". Skeptics think North Korea is trying to use the Olympics to weaken US -led sanctions and pressure against it and buy time to advance its weapons programs.

Pence is pushing South Korea to adopt a more hawkish stance toward the North and warning against North Korean "propaganda" efforts at the games. Tensions are set to come to a head in late March as North Korea will demand the cancellation of the U.S.

While Seoul supports the Trump administration's pressure campaign and agrees that improvement in inter-Korean relations requires progress on the nuclear issue, the USA and South Korea face a stiff challenge in reconciling their contrasting tactics of confrontation and conciliation.

"The IOC [International Olympic Committee] will provide mobile phones to all athletes of all countries participating at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018".

North Korea is already facing unprecedented sanctions after three U.N. Security Council restrictions in the past year that have slashed the pariah nation's export revenue and capped fuel imports.

The vice president's emphasis on possible military action follows increased talk in Washington that the administration of President Donald Trump is planning a "bloody nose" military strike in response to the next North Korean provocation.

That's right. A nation that has the worst human rights record on the planet that nearly took Northeast Asia to the brink of war previous year will walk into the opening ceremonies with its brethren from the south under a joint flag.

The Yonhap news agency reports that Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Kim Eui-Kyeom said, "President Moon plans to hold a meeting and have lunch with the North Korean delegation on February 10", However, Dae did not disclose the location of the planned meeting.

But on his way to Asia, he said: "I have not requested a meeting, but we'll see what happens".

The comments, carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), were reportedly issued in response to "rambling" remarks by USA officials.

Another protester, with a giant South Korean flag wrapped around her shoulders, said: "Don't you know what is at stake?"

Norway's Olympic team given 15000 eggs due to translation error
Tore Ovrebo, head of the Norwegian team, blamed a typo for the error , and said he was anxious about what would happen to all the excess eggs.

Unilaterally, the USA has also targeted North Korean shipping companies and Chinese trading networks.

For Moon, the increased North Korean cooperation validates his support for greater engagement to peacefully resolve the nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula. But Pyongyang indicated it is not interested in meeting with the Pence-led delegation.

Pence is taking a hard-line approach with North Korea, announcing that the US will unveil in the coming days "the toughest and most aggressive round of economic sanctions on North Korea ever".

Also on Thursday North Korea held a relatively low key military parade in Pyongyang, the day before the Olympics are to begin.

No foreign news media have been invited to this year's parade, which is expected to take place Thursday.

Pyongyang's annual parade, marking the founding of its armed forces, has been held in April for 40 years.
