When asked by Mathews why she joined Trump in the White House, Omarosa explained that she "felt like it was a call to duty".

"I was haunted by tweets every single day, like what is he going to tweet next?" a tearful Manigault-Newman said in the teaser clip for Thursday's episode of "Celebrity Big Brother", the reality show on which she is a contestant.

A self-declared "superfan" of the show, Manigault-Newman is no stranger to reality television, having made her debut on the first season of NBC's "The Apprentice", in 2004 with Donald Trump, cementing a friendship that carried her from his presidential campaign trail to the White House. "I like to say it's not my problem but I can't say that because it's bad".

"Should we be anxious?"

Matthews asked. Manigault Newman retorted with a slow nod, saying, "yes".

Protesters say North Korea, which only confirmed its participation last month, has been allowed to hijack the Pyeongchang Games. Also on Thursday North Korea held a relatively low key military parade in Pyongyang, the day before the Olympics are to begin.

She does little to assuage the concerns of her housemate, who asks if everything is going to be okay. "When I was accepting a political appointment, it was always about the country".

In December, Omarosa said that reports she was sacked and escorted from the White House after tripping alarms and trying to gain access to the Trump residence were "100 percent false".

Part two of "Celebrity Big Brother's" premiere airs Thursday at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Manigault Newman, who gained renown as a villain on Trump's first season of "The Apprentice", had been director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison, which leads outreach to interest groups.

The new dashboard includes a 6.5-inch color touch screen and a digital driver information readout between the major instruments. Jalal and others think the Transit Wagon could resonate with those who might have owned an old Volkswagen van some time ago.

"It's not my circus, it's not my monkeys", Manigault said.

"I would say it's surprising", executive producer Allison Grodner told Entertainment Weekly of the other guests' reaction to the former member of the Trump administration living among them.

"There's a lot of people that want to stab me in the back, kind of similar to the White House", she said during her entrance into the Big Brother house.

On Fox, both The X-Files (0.9 adults) and 9-1-1 (1.7 adults) held their previous scores - the latter only narrowly missing the night's top honors to Big Brother.
