Amazon begins offering Whole Foods deliveries via its Prime service

The bank wrote in a note to investors that 48% of people using Prime Now are ordering grocery items with it - more than they are ordering more traditional e-commerce offerings. For reference, Amazon acquired Whole Foods for almost $14 billion in 2017.

The offer allows Amazon Prime members to order goods from Whole Foods and have them show up at their homes within two hours. But, Amazon's shop does have some Whole Foods Everyday Value 365 items available for purchase, which was implemented prior to the integration with Whole Foods stores.

Amazon said deliveries will start Thursday in Austin, Texas; Cincinnati; Dallas; and Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Amazon lowered prices at Whole Foods on a range of kitchen staples, including ground beef, rotisserie chicken and avocados. The service applies to all fresh and grocery products available in Whole Foods' stores, along with select alcoholic beverages.

Windsor's unemployment rate sees significant drop
In Ontario, which increased its minimum wage in January, employment fell during the month, due to losses in part-time work. The jobs survey shows Victoria remains among the lowest in the country with only Quebec City at a lower rate.

The Seattle-based tech giant bought Austin-based Whole Foods in August. Prime members can also pay an extra $7.99 to have their orders delivered within an hour. If you're too busy to go grocery shopping - and you live somewhere with Prime Now service and you're a Prime customer - you can place an order and then have an Amazon courier bring it to your location whenever you'd like.

While this new service is likely to delight Amazon Prime customers craving some Whole Foods goodness, it's not the only way to have groceries delivered straight to your door. Users can get one-hour delivery for an additional $8 fee.

On the other hand, the online retailer added several Whole Foods items to its grocery delivery service - AmazonFresh. The company plans to expand the service nationwide this year.

Once a customer has placed an order, pickers-not necessarily Whole Foods employees-will manually collect the items from a nearby Whole Foods store and put them in "appropriate packaging".

Tesco equal pay case could lead to £4bn bill
Tesco is the largest retailer in Britain and the largest employer in the private sector with over 310,000 employees. Of Tesco's lowest paid workers 62 per cent are women, but only 41 per cent of its highest earners are female.

This Whole Foods delivery test is not on the scale of typical Amazon deliveries.

Analysts see this as the first step towards Amazon truly leveraging Whole Foods stores. Amazon shook up the retail sector with the announcement on June 16, 2017, it would acquire upscale USA grocer Whole Foods Market, known for its pricey organic options, in a deal that underscores the online giant's growing influence in the economy.

"We're going to have a huge expansion ahead", stated Landry. Amazon recommends a price, usually $5. This makes a lot of sense when you think that Amazon accounts for 37% of all online retail sales in the United Kingdom and 57% in America.
