Trump Reportedly Still Doesn't Believe That Russia Interfered In The 2016 Election

US 2018 elections 'under attack' by Russia: US intelligence chief

"There's no single agency in charge" of blocking potential Russian meddling in this year's U.S. midterm elections, America's top spy told a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Wednesday.

"Persistent and disruptive cyber operations will continue against the United States and our European allies using elections as opportunities to undermine democracy", he told an annual Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on worldwide threats. He said Russia, China, Iran and North Korea "pose the greatest threats" to the electronic operations of USA government and commerce.

Coats said that Russian Federation will continue using propaganda, false personas and social media to undermine the upcoming election.

"The 2018 US midterm elections are a potential target for Russian influence operations", 2018's global threat assessment stated, AP reported.

While intelligence officials have said that Russian Federation is interfering with the American democratic process, President Donald Trump has continued to deny their involvement.

This figure-skating transfer was too attractive for the Olympics
With the Kiss 'n Cry, glittery costumes and makeup, the stuffed toys fans throw on the ice, it can also appear a little flaky. Mike Slipchuck, the former skater who is now the high-performance director for Skate Canada, was feeling the same way.

Mr Coats and Mr Wray spoke alongside CIA Director Mike Pompeo and National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers. Coats said vetting such companies was a top priority. "We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump".

That passivity contrasted with the intelligence chiefs' unanimous and unqualified warnings about Russian intentions in the midterms.

The Senate Intelligence Committee held its annual hearing on "world threats" to the US, and there wasn't much good news.

Asked who is in charge of addressing the threat posed by operations of foreign nations on social media, Coats said that responsibility is spread among "several agencies throughout the federal government that have equities in this, and we are working together to try to integrate that process".

"I believe that he feels that he and Russian Federation did not meddle in the election", Mr. Trump said of Putin in November.

The Warriors will not be at full strength either as Draymond Green is expected to sit out with a sprained left index finger. The Warriors didn't only damage their own brand but put a stain on the league for the amount of disrespect they displayed.

But Coats acknowledged that the U.S.is "behind the curve" in coming up with policies to penalize those who hack America's critical infrastructure, interfere with elections, undermine the government or hit financial institutions. "I think the American people are ready for this".

In addition to Russian Federation, the officials were questioned about a multitude of potential threats confronting the United States, including North Korea's long-range missile campaign.

"It is our hope and our belief that before the primaries begin, we intend to have an overview of our findings that will be public", Burr said. Jack Reed (D-RI) if Trump directed any of the intelligence heads present at the hearing to stop Russian Federation from meddling, FBI Director Christopher Wray said he was "not specifically directed by the president". The American people are smart people.

"Director Coats, you have a stunning statement, they will work to use cyber operations to achieve strategic objectives unless they face repercussions for their operations".

Coats also called on lawmakers to take actions to shrink the size of the national debt, which he said "represents a dire threat to our economic and national security".
